Don't Let Rental Chairs Take a Back Seat at Your Wedding
When choosing a rental chair for a wedding event, rental customers often look beyond function to design. They want the rental chairs to help carry the wedding theme. Consider the following factors when renting chairs for your wedding event.
· Style. Rental chairs come in a variety of styles. The ever-popular folding chair probably wins out as the No. 1 rental choice for weddings. Many rental stores also carry Chiavari chairs — a high-end chair characterized by two bars that run between its legs in the front and on the sides. These chairs rank as a chair of choice for brides because of their upscale look and design. Although, Chiavari chairs cost more to rent than some chairs, you may not have the expense of renting linen covers for them as you do with other chairs. Other pricey, seating alternatives available for renting from a select few rental stores include formal, upholstered, folding dining chairs; chameleon chairs and ghost chairs. Formal, folding dining chairs complement traditional dining sets. Chameleon chairs feature changeable seat and back cushions, which allow for a number of color and style possibilities. Finally, ghost chairs — made from clear plastic — create a see-through chair possibility. You also may rent barstools in many styles, including Chiavari, from rental stores.
· Color. While basic, bright white remains a rental favorite for weddings, rental stores often carry chairs in a variety of colors, such as silver, gold, ivory, black, mahogany, green, blue, brown, natural wood and more.
· Indoors or outdoors. Some high-end rental chairs, such as formal, folding dining chairs, do not lend themselves well for outside use. In addition, if you want padded chairs for an outside event make sure the pads are weather resistant.
· Material. Both Chiavari and folding garden chairs come in either wood or resin. When you think of a rental chair for weddings, a classic wood chair may come to mind first, but the untrained eye may find it difficult to distinguish between a wood and a resin chair. Furthermore, since resin chairs require less maintenance than their wood counterparts do, you may discover resin rental chairs are in better condition than the wood ones. Chairs also may be made of aluminum, stainless steel, steel, polypropylene or plastic. Some of them may have fabric/vinyl padded seats or plastic seats.
· Comfort. Chairs can come in varying heights to make them more comfortable for a particular activity, such as dining as opposed to sitting. Padded seats also offer extra comfort to wedding guests, who must sit for a long time. You also can add chair pads to chairs that do not come with them to make them more comfortable.
· Weight-bearing capabilities. The amount of weight that a chair can support varies. Some chairs can hold only 300 pounds, whereas others can support as much as 1,000 pounds. Ask your rental professional how much weight the chairs that you plan on renting can support to make sure that they will meet your needs.
· Children. Many rental stores also carry wooden high chairs or booster seats for the little ones, who will dine at the wedding event.
