While we try to keep this information current, this page should be considered as "general information", and may not fully reflect the policies and requirements of Matt'sRentals Inc. Rental terms and policies may be revised, changed or replaced without updating this page. Please see your rental contract for full details.
Q: What do I need to bring to rent from Matt's Rentals?
A: For your first rental, you will need a current valid identification with your picture and address on it, such as a drivers license. This will give us the information to set up your membership and enroll you in the RENTAL POINTS program. You may also be asked to show I.D. at the time of any rental.
Each new rental contract requires an approved pre-authorized security deposit from a credit card (Visa, M/C, AmEx). The value of the security deposit is determined by the type of equipment rented, but is a minimum of $100.00. The Credit Card must be in the name of the person renting. Sorry, but cash is not an acceptable form of deposit.
Q: Does my membership allow me to carry a balance, and pay for my rentals at a later time?
A: Membership does not entitle individuals to carry a balance, and payment in full is required at the end of each rental agreement. Registered companies may apply for a credit account, which will offer payment terms of net 15 days, after a suitable payment history has been established. Please see rental agreement for full details and responsibilities.
Q: What is the damage waiver?
A: The damage waiver is an optional coverage that will pay for the cost of accidental damage, up to a $200.00 maximum, incurred during normal use (as intended by the manufacturer). Any damages incurred through a malicious act, during transport, incorrect use, or any other situation that is not considered normal use, is the responsibility of the rentor. Theft is not considered danage, and is therefore not covered. Please see the rental contract for full details and responsibilities.
Q: Do you deliver?
A: Currently, Matt's Rentals does not offer a delivery service, except for heavy equipment.
Q: How do I transport my rentals?
A: Transportation is your responsibility. Please ensure that the vehicle you bring is of sufficient size and capacity to carry your rental item(s). You must also bring rope, straps or other tie down equipment to ensure your load is secured in a safe, legal, and in a manner to prevent damage. Matt's Rentals Inc. may refuse rentals based on your transport vehicle, lack of ability to secure the load, or any other reason. Matt's Rentals Inc. will assist in the load and unload of your rentals when possible and/or practical, but you should plan to have enough manpower to load and unload your rentals yourself. Our official policy is "Matt’s Rentals Inc., or its employees, is/are not responsible for any damage or injury to persons or vehicles during loading and/or unloading of rental items however caused. |
